THE MINIMUM WAGE HAS BEEN DETERMINED FOR THE SECOND HALF OF 2023

In accordance with Article 39 of the Labor Law and Article 11 of the Minimum Wage Regulation, the Minimum Wage Determination Commission has made a decision regarding the minimum wage amount to be applied in the second half of 2023. The decision of the Commission, dated June 20, 2023, has been published in the Official Gazette on June 24, 2023.

According to this new decision, starting from July 1, 2023, the monthly net minimum wage has been set at 11,402.32 TL, and the gross amount at 13,414.50 TL. The total gross cost for employers has been updated to 15,762.04 TL. Additionally, the minimum wage support for the period of July to December 2023 has been determined as 500 TL. These amounts will remain valid until December 31, 2023, unless a new decision is made by the Commission.

In light of this decision, employers are advised to review their employees’ wages and, if necessary, revise them to comply with the minimum wage decision. This will ensure that employees receive fair compensation in line with the new regulations.

The determination of the minimum wage is an important matter that has a significant impact on labor relations between employees and employers. Therefore, it is important for employers to pay attention to this decision and ensure that their employees’ rights are protected.
